The 2025 Ridge Alumni Memorial Scholarship is a $25,000 grant for a Ridge High senior, whether qualified to graduate or not.

Three main criteria have been established by Ridge AMS founders:

• One criterion is exceptional character in the face of adversity, demonstrated by determination, good works, sacrifice, team play, overcoming setbacks, and the ability to turn a negative into a positive.
• A second criterion is evidence of significant personal growth and improvement while at Ridge High.
• Finally, preference will be given to students for whom receipt of the scholarship award will make a difference in the student’s future, although it is not strictly a need-based award.

Recipients are vetted by the Guidance Department, and selected by the Fund’s alumni board. Scholarship awards may be applied to any educational, vocational, or related expenses.

Note that the application requests an essay, and applicants are asked to agree that Ridge AMS can post an excerpt on this website. The winning applicant will be consulted before the essay excerpt is posted, and can delete any information s/he prefers to keep private. Ridge AMS is proud of grant recipients. Its goal is to celebrate their achievements, not cause discomfort to them or their families.

A Spanish language application and fact sheet will be available in the RHS Guidance Department; however, please note that applications cannot be submitted in Spanish.

The application deadline is Monday, February 24, 2025.
